Citrus County, Supervisor of Elections 

Maureen 'Mo' Baird was elected to the office of Citrus County Supervisor of Elections in August 2020 and sworn into office January 5, 2021.

Mo has served at your Citrus County Supervisor of Elections office full time since 1985. The knowledge she gained working over 85 elections proves to be essential in keeping your vote safe and secure in Citrus County. During her tenure she has served in all aspects of elections. Her knowledge of elections is in-depth.

Ms. Baird is a member of the Florida Supervisor of Elections (FSE) and serves on the executive board. She is a member of the National Elections Center, where she maintains her certification as a Certified Election Registration Administrator (CERA). She also maintains her certification as a Master Florida Certified Election Professional (MCFCEP) with the Florida Supervisor of Elections.

The security of Citrus County elections, along with integrity, trust and transparency are top priorities for her office. Voter Education and Coummunity Outreach are are also important and have become weekly events since taking office. 

She welcomes community input and would like to personally hear from you. Her motto is “It takes a village to run elections”. During election season, about 400 plus workers hired and trained for part time positions, early voting sites, and as election day workers. 

Ms. Baird has proven instrumental in the transition of several new supervisors in their respective counties.

She is an active member of Christ Community Church in Lecanto Florida. She has two children, a daughter, son and daughter-in-law who are the parents of her two grandchildren.
